Mardi Gras Dinner with JStokes

Come and Jam with Singing Sensation, JStokes, at the HYPE Teen Center on Friday, 2/26/10 from 6-8 pm. We know you need something to do on Friday night. Come have a great time and celebrate Mardi Gras with your friends. JStokes is from Detroit and has a soulful voice reminiscent of Jill Scott. This program is free and open to teens.

Teen Acitivity

Do you want to explore new things to do?
Find out what is... "in your own Backyard" an opportunity for the teens in Detroit to see all of the activities available to them right in their own backyard! There will be pizza, giveaways and a chance to "try-out" the activities that the vendors are promoting. Bring a friend and get a backpack...this events is sponsored by Children's Hospital of Michigan. It is free and open to teens in Detroit

Free backpacks: any HYPE teen who brings a friend to sign up for a HYPE card will get a free backpack, for the HYPE teens and their friend. only for the first 100 teens only so come early

Free pizza and soft drinks, available in the Woodward Lobby from 6-7:30pm or until the supplies run out.

Free "try-out" activities form the science center, DIA and PAL from 6-8pm on the old history and travel department

The latest movie that I have seen was Transformers 2.It was avery good movie,especially how the graphics were very good.Another thing that I liked about Transformers 2 was the characters,even when the chracter creators brung new chracters to the movie.I reccomend that everyone see's this movie.

Science Fair Success

In march of 2010, Detroit will host the 53rd Annual International Science & Engineering Fair at Cobo Center, providing Metro Detroit area students in grades 6-12 an opportunity to exhibit science fair project. This is the largest and longest running science fairs in the world.

Tim Fino, Director of the Science & Engineering Fair of Metropolitan Detroit, member of the operating Council, science fair judges, teacher and past science fair particaipts will disuss how to conduct and showcase a science project or experiment.

( A presentation will instruct the new students who have never participted in the science fair. in the main library, friends auditorium saturday, november 14, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
